The Hacienda Sarria Market Garden

Primary tabs

The Hacienda Sarria Market Garden, a Working Centre Community Tool, is a volunteer-driven initiative to develop an inclusive, hands-on learning environment to demonstrate, promote, and share knowledge about sustainable local food production and environmental stewardship.  We act as a social entrepreneurship by functioning as a business that is committed to community building, environmental sustainability and skill development.

By purchasing produce from us you are supporting The Working Centre and reducing your food miles as we are only 3 kilometers from the Kitchener downtown core!

Crops at the Hacienda Sarria Market Garden include salad greens and spinach, radishes, green onions, carrots, beets, kale, chard, basil, parsley, cilantro, fresh cut flowers and more!

If you are interested in supporting the Hacienda Sarria market garden, we have opportunities available to connect with us and enjoy our fresh produce.  Though our CSA (community supported agriculture) shares are all filled for the season we sell extra produce at our CSA pick up days on:
• Wednesdays at the Queen St Commons Café: 4:30-6:00 pm
• Thuesdays at the Hacienda garden site (1254 Union St.): 4:00-6:00 pm

Check back next year to purchase a share.

We also sell our produce to Healthy Foods and More in Waterloo, Full Circle in Kitchener and other local restaurants in the region.
Additionally, you can come to the Hacienda to volunteer any weekday.
